Your notes stay on your device

men Notes has no accounts, ads, or analytics. Notes and suggested tags are stored in the app or browser on the device where you write them. We do not receive note text or AI tags.

Local AI tags

Tag suggestions run on your device using a bundled or self-hosted AI model. The model does not send notes to an AI provider. On the web, enabling tags downloads the model files from the men Notes website.

Shared links

Sharing creates an encrypted, frozen copy inside the link itself. The encrypted copy and its key appear after the link's # character, which browsers do not send to the website. Anyone who receives the complete link can read that copy, and the link cannot be revoked or updated. If you send a link through another app, that service handles it under its own privacy terms.

Website delivery

The public website is hosted by Netlify. When a browser requests the site or its local-AI files, Netlify may process ordinary connection information such as IP address, device details, and request logs to deliver and secure the service. See Netlify's privacy statement. men Notes does not add analytics or advertising trackers.

Deleting data

Delete individual notes in the app. Turning off local AI removes its tags and cached web model files where the platform allows. Uninstalling the mobile app, or clearing this site's browser storage, removes the remaining local app data. Shared copies already sent to other people cannot be recalled.

Depending on your phone settings, Apple or Google may include app data in an encrypted device backup. men Notes cannot see or manage those backups; you control them in your device account settings.

Support requests

If you use the optional support form, men Notes and Netlify receive the email address, platform details, and message you choose to send. We use that information only to answer and troubleshoot your request, keep it only as long as reasonably needed for support, and do not sell it. Do not include private note text. You can ask for a support request to be deleted by sending another request from the same email address.
